T.O. Crane Biography
Tracy “T.O.” Crane was born and raised on his family’s 5th generation farm in Kimberly, Alabama. He still resides there today. He learned the value of hard work by working in the local hay fields, Hughes Egg Farm, Bridlewood Stables and his family’s truck farming operation. He gained further experience working at local supermarkets, where he rose from a sack boy to minor management roles.
After college, T.O. pursued a career in law enforcement and intelligence. He began his professional career working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Birmingham, AL. T.O. worked for the Federal Bureau of investigation for almost twenty years. He served as Supervisory Intelligence Analyst for the Birmingham division of the FBI, managing the Field Intelligence Group (FIG). Under his command, the FIG was a “one-stop shop” for the analysis and processing of raw intelligence gathered in the course of investigation of major FBI programs such as Counterterrorism, Foreign Counterintelligence, Cyber Crime, Public Corruption, Civil Rights, White-Collar Crime, and Violent Crimes. Additionally, T.O.’s previous assignments with the FBI included being a Supervisor in the Administrative Services Unit. Early in his career, he worked with the Office of Independent Counsel on the Whitewater Investigation in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Since 2008, T.O. has worked directly in the food industries, retail and security areas. T.O. is considered a Food Defense and Agriculture Security expert. He holds the distinction of a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) for ASIS International, the worlds largest security organization. He serves on ASIS’ Food Defense and Agriculture Security Counsel with some of the largest food industry corporations in the world.
He is currently serving as President and CEO of Crane Intelligence. T.O. is also a former partner in one of Alabama’s largest independent tax services and a member of Associated Wholesale Grocers Co-Op, (AWG). He is also a member of the Alabama Private Investigators Board being appointed by Governor Kay Ivey in 2017.
He has been an Adjunct Instructor for Wallace State College and Faulkner University for almost ten years. Mr. Crane holds a BS in Police Administration from Samford University and a MS in Public Safety from Auburn University at Montgomery.
